JetBlue traffic up 9.1 pct in January

<div id="subtitle">JetBlue reports higher Jan. traffic, capacity and occupancy from a year ago</div><div><p>JetBlue Airways Corp. said Thursday that January traffic increased 9.1 percent, while capacity rose 8.9 percent and load factor edged up slightly.</p><p>The airline flew 2.11 billion revenue passenger miles last month, compared to 1.93 billion in January 2008.</p><p>A revenue passenger mile is an industry metric measuring one paying passenger flown one mile.</p><p>Capacity, or available seat miles, rose to 2.84 billion, compared to 2.61 billion in January 2008.</p><p>Load factor, or occupancy, last month was 74.1 percent, up 0.1 percentage points from 74 percent in January 2008.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=68451941&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
